Colleges Accepting KLEE and Seats

Updated November 2026. Seat numbers change slightly every year – check the seat matrix published with the CAP notification on cee.kerala.gov.in.

KLEE ranks are used for admission to the four Government Law Colleges and to the government seats in self-financing law colleges that have a seat-sharing arrangement with the state (around 20 or more colleges).

Government Law Colleges – 5-year LLB

Government Law College, Ernakulam, founded in 1874, is one of the oldest law colleges in India.

Self-financing law colleges

Private self-financing law colleges across Kerala – for example Sree Narayana Law College (Poothotta, Ernakulam), Al Azhar Law College (Thodupuzha), Al Ameen Law College (Shoranur), Kerala Law Academy (Thiruvananthapuram), NSS Law College (Kottiyam) and others – fill their government seats through KLEE ranks in the same allotment process. Fees

Government Law Colleges charge very low tuition fees. Government seats in self-financing colleges cost more and usually include a refundable deposit. The exact fees for each year are given in the allotment notification.

Not covered by KLEE

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi admits students through CLAT, not KLEE. Cochin University (CUSAT) law courses use the CUSAT CAT. Many students write all three.
