KLEE Question Paper in Malayalam: What Changes

Updated November 2026.

In October 2026, the Kerala Government approved conducting LLB entrance examinations bilingually, in Malayalam and English, from the next academic year. Higher Education Minister Roji M John directed that the questions be made available in Malayalam as well, following a representation by the Malayalam Aikya Vedi.

What this means for students

  • Students who are more comfortable in Malayalam can read General Knowledge, Arithmetic & Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude questions in their own language.
  • General English will still test English. It is 36 of the 120 questions, so English preparation remains essential.
  • Legal terms such as affidavit, plaint or ultra vires are used in English in law colleges and courts, so learn them in English and know their Malayalam meanings.
  • The exact format (side-by-side questions, choice of language, etc.) will be confirmed in the KLEE 2027 prospectus.

How Mentors is preparing students

Our KLEE classes, study material and mock tests now include English and Malayalam versions of questions, so students can practise in the same format they will see in the exam. Ask about the KLEE 2027 Foundation Batch »
